waiting till tomorrow
to clean the closet

cooking dinner
making up new recipe
it tasted great

evening chores-
filling the vegetable beds
shredding bags of mail

paradigm shift
how well the world looks
after a good night's sleep

weeknd push
clean underwear and cooked food
then I need rest

cleaning moves forward
linen closet walls peek out
I have closet space

shrubs and flowers in
enjoying the feel of dirt
under my nails

chatting with sister
making up schedules
to clean Mommy's house

scrubbing the stovetop
enjoying the sounds
of elbow grease

weekend work-
helping roommate move their things
cleaning the kitchen

at long last...
knowing that the stove top
will stay clean

our last night together
kitty federation wrestling
scratching me goodbye

one day to catlessness
working on cleaning regimen
to defur the house

midday break
driving and worshipping
strength for three more days

settling dust-
catching my breath
for the next rounds
